The future of food: Visual anaysis of pollinators

The Insect Pollinator Book is a large-scale infographic publication that explores how insect pollinators impact the future of our food. The project focuses on transforming dense scientific research into visuals that are engaging, accessible, and easy to understand for a wide audience. Rather than presenting information in a traditional academic format, the book uses storytelling and data visualization to make complex topics feel approachable and visually compelling.

The book is organized into sections that guide the reader through the world of pollinators, including types of pollinators and their anatomy, key research and interesting findings, factors contributing to their decline, and ways people can help support pollinator populations. Each section combines custom illustrations, infographics, and data-driven layouts to communicate information clearly while maintaining a cohesive visual style.

Throughout the project, I created custom illustrations of insects, plants, and ecosystems, along with charts and diagrams that visualize relationships between pollinators, agriculture, and biodiversity. The work emphasizes clarity and hierarchy, making sure each spread can stand on its own while still contributing to the larger narrative. The goal was to balance educational content with a tone that feels inviting rather than overly scientific.

This project highlights my strength in data visualization, storytelling, and editorial design. It reflects my ability to take complex research and translate it into visuals that inform, engage, and encourage curiosity, while also raising awareness about the environmental importance of pollinators and their role in sustaining the future of food.
